I would like to believe when I die that I have given myself away like a tree that sows seed every spring and never counts the loss, because it is not loss, it is adding to future life. It is the tree’s way of being. Strongly rooted perhaps, but spilling out its treasure on the wind.

This blog is the seed that I hope adds to future life. The world is in need of some change – more compassion, more concern for others and the future, and more love. We cannot force others to be more compassionate or loving, but we can make those changes within ourselves. And as we become more loving, then we act more lovingly toward those we meet. If they return this favor and act more lovingly toward those they meet, then we start to see a positive change taking place.

I truly feel that the only way we’re going to make a difference in this world is by doing so one person at a time. If I can help one person be more mindful and caring to someone near them or plant some seed of kindness in their mind through a post or the occasional poem, then I’ve served some purpose.
